Ask HN: How many of you juggle multiple agent sessions at the same time?
I hear a lot about the future of software engineering work being an engineer sitting with tons of sessions open and multitasking on many jira tickets all at once. I am relatively junior but I feel like I see more people working on one ticket at a time, with maybe 2 sessions open. Curious how many people are juggling 6+ agents and do many jira tickets and orchestrating all these sessions.

I used Claude Fable to tweak my tmux config to allow me to work on multiple issues. It lists my various Claude sessions and the status of each (so I can see which ones are working versus waiting for permissions / choice / finished their turn and are waiting for me). I can also see my open PRs including when PRs get approved; as well as some Jira context. I usually limit # of concurrent tmux windows 15 (per Kanban limit of Work In Progress concept) but I've been known to up that to 30 when on-call.
8 is about my limit but I never have less than 4.
