Show HN: Datastory, Data storytelling with AI and an open knowledge graph

Today we’re opening Datastory to everyone! Datastory is a platform for turning data, your own or the world’s open data, into charts that people can understand and trust. Please try it out and let us know what we can improve! A little backstory I’ve spent my career trying to make data understandable and useful, from helping animate Hans Rosling's TED Talks at Gapminder to building data platforms for organizations in health, research, media and the public sector. Every project taught me the same thing: organizations were building similar platforms from scratch, at great cost, and communicating data well remained slow, expensive, expert work. That’s why we started Datastory as a non-profit, publishing data journalism and building our own tools because nothing else was fast enough. Over the years those tools became the product, and today they're used by public agencies, researchers and newsrooms. Under the hood, the open data catalog sits on a knowledge graph built on linked data standards (RDF), with pipelines orchestrated in Dagster. Sources are joined semantically, and templates connect directly to the graph. The free plan covers the full range of features, so you can try everything out.
