Please state the location and include REMOTE for remote work, REMOTE (US) or similar if the country is restricted, and ONSITE when remote work is not an option. Please only post if you personally are part of the hiring company—no recruiting firms or job boards. One post per company. If it isn't a household name, explain what your company does. Please only post if you are actively filling a position and are committed to replying to applicants. Commenters: please don't reply to job posts to complain about something. It's off topic here. Readers: please only email if you are personally interested in the job. Hotwash | Founding Engineer (→ CTO for the right person) | REMOTE (US), Boston a plus | Full-time I'm a solo founder. I built the entire product myself, got 11 fire departments paying with zero churn, and now I need someone to own engineering so I can't be the only one who does. West Point, Ranger Regiment, Yale Law, still the only developer. What we do: Hotwash is an after-action review platform for fire departments. After a serious call, crews record what happened, we transcribe and structure it, and the hard-won lessons become searchable institutional memory instead of retiring when the veterans who earned them do. Fire is the wedge; the long game is operational learning for any high-reliability organization. Traction: $40K ARR, 11 paying fire departments, zero churn. Raising a $1M pre-seed. The role: Employee #1 on engineering. You own the codebase, architecture, and UX end to end, and you lead the rebuild off the current stack. You work directly with me on what gets built and why, including sitting with fire chiefs to figure out what they actually need. For the right person this becomes the CTO seat. Who I'm looking for: A full-stack engineer who ships simple, usable products and has a real eye for design. Our users are fire crews, not power users, so the bar is "obvious to someone who's never seen it." If you care about how software feels, not just whether it works, this is your seat. Stack: Today it's FlutterFlow + Firebase, Node, with Groq/AssemblyAI for transcription and Gemini for summarization. The rebuild target is React Native (Expo), Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2. You'd own that migration, so this is real greenfield ownership, not maintenance. Comp: Founding equity, scaled to scope. We're pre-raise, so cash is lean right now and grows when we close. Email hiring@hotwash.com with a resume, link to something you've built, and one line on why this interests you.

Hatchet | Full-Stack Engineer | NYC or SF or REMOTE (US and EU) | https://hatchet.run Hey HN! I'm Alexander, one of the founders of Hatchet. Hatchet is an open-source platform for running background jobs at scale. We're hiring engineers who are excited to build the next class of engineering primitives, starting with queues, background tasks and durable execution. We started in early 2024 after launching our distributed task queue (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39643136). Hatchet is currently used by thousands of engineers for all kinds of workloads: log ingestion pipelines, code review agents, video encoding, GPU scheduling, etc. Our target customer is fast-growing startups who have a strong need for background jobs system. These days, that tends to be AI companies, though we're general-purpose and not exclusively targeted for AI workloads. Stack: Postgres, Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes Applying: email me at alexander@hatchet.run and tell me about something impressive you've built, along with your CV and why you're interested in Hatchet. Note that we're fully open-source, which you can check out here: https://github.com/hatchet-dev/hatchet (and if you have thoughts / opinions / questions about the codebase, please include those in your note!)

Adacore | Software Engineers | Full-time | Remote or On-Site Adacore is the maintainer of GNAT, GCC's Ada frontend (but now with many more compiler backends: LLVM, Why3, JVM...) and of a lot of tools revolving around the Ada ecosystem (IDEs, Coverage tools, Fuzzers, Static Analyzers, Formal proof tooling...). Evertything we build is open-source and we make money by providing support, trainings, certifications... We are looking for different profiles: - GCC/GNU toolchain developpers ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/gnu-toolchain-developer-... ) - Senior Static Analysis Software Engineer ( https://app.hellotalent.com/vacancy/senior-static-analysis-s... ) Please apply through the website. I am in the Static Analysis team, so I can answer questions if you have any. Also, if you feel like you would be a strong candidate (e.g. you have working experience with abstract interpretation) but are missing some of the requirements (e.g. not in the right location or only three years of experience instead of five etc) and this is making you hesitate to apply, please contact me - I'm just a lowly engineer far removed from the hiring pipeline but I'd love to hear for you and try to convince HR that you could be a good fit :).
